The 5th Wave - Rick Yancey

In this book it talks about Cassie Sullivan. Cassie is only 16 years old. She is one of the last survivors on earth. Aliens have taken over and killed mass amounts of people. She has to hide all the time so she won't be caught. This book reminds me of the Walking Dead. Most everyone is gone, there's few survivors, they must fight to survive, and it is hard to find food, water, and shelter.

The 5th Wave - Rick Yancey

'The 5th Wave' by Rick Yancey seems like a very interesting book. It's about how the world is coming to an end. It comes in waves. One of the waves was a disease. Another was how the electricity is totally shut off. A girl and her dad and brother are trying to survive. Her mother died in one of the waves.

The Secret of Magic - Deborah Johnson

In the "Secret of Magic" it flashes back to the soldier. He's on a bus and scared to sleep due to the nightmares he has from war. They stop for gas and he won't go inside. There is still strong racism in the south at this time. POW are getting on the bus and going to take the segregated section. He won't give up his seat. The prisoners get off the bus and are to take the next one.

Margo still hasn't been at school, graduation is right around the corner and no one knows where she went. Agents come and go to see if anyone knows where she went. But, she left her clues as always. Q has been desperately looking for any clues to find out where she went. He finally finds some leading to a small paper town outside of New York. He found this out right before graduation. He tells his friends and they agree to skip graduation and drive to Margo. They take the mini van Quentin was gifted earlier that day for his graduation gift. They perfectly time out of when and where they can stop to arrive before Margo leaves. They finally get there and Margo is still there. This isn't the typical love story of a warm embrace, Margo gets pissed off at them for coming. She wanted to leave and never come back, but how could she do that when she's being followed? They talk things over and the next day Q begs her to come back. Margo refuses, she has more places to see. The real Margo Roth Speigelman isn't who anyone thought she really was. She's her very own person and not who anyone thought she really was.

Paper Towns

Paper Towns - John Green

Paper Towns is a book about Quentin Jacobson who is in love with his neighbor, Margo Roth Speigelman. As kids they both found a dead body together in the park by their house, and drifted apart as they got older. Q was a nerdy guy who hung out with the band geeks and Margo was a beautiful, popular girl who loved causing trouble. Margo runs away a lot and always leaves clues to where she will be going. Before she leaves, she had Q drive her around for her to get her revenge before she leaves. Her boyfriend, Jace, is sleeping with her best friend, so she vandalizes their homes. She caused absolute chaos by leaving dead fish for them to find with notes that have sayings of, "our friendship sleeps with the fish," and others that have the same pun to them. She leaves a red spray painted
"M" of where she was. That night they broke into Sea World and got kicked out. The next day Q was waiting to see Margo at school, and she wasn't there. Or the day after, and so on. Margo ran away, once again. But the mysterious question is who is the real Margo Roth Speigelman.

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green

This book absolutely breaks my heart. It's sickening that so many people get this horrible disease and gets no recognition. I've had many family members go through cancer. Some have survived and others got not so lucky. This is a terrible sickness and I hope a cure comes about soon. I can't even believe what Hazel Grace would have to go through. Seeing someone you love deteriorate so fast, and not be able to do anything about it would hurt.

The Fault in Our Stars - John Green

The Fault in our Stars is a book of two cancer patients. The main character, Hazel Grace Lancaster, is terminal, and there is Augustus Waters who had his leg amputated. They meet at a support group and become friends. Augustus uses his Wish to take Hazel, her mother, and himself to Amsterdam to meet with a famous writer, of their favorite book. They are now awaiting to meet the author in An Imperial Affliction to see what happens after the girl in the story dies. This is as far as I have read to far. They met the man and thought he a terrible person. He turned into a drunk with no life (his book was written for his daughter who had died from cancer 22 years ago). When they get back from Amsterdam Gus goes in for a test and his cancer has come back, everywhere. He turns very, very sick. Hazel is still on the oxygen tank and doing well for her condition. About a month after they got back Augustus died in his sleep. Hazel got a call from his mother giving her the news. At his funeral she ran up and kissed his cheek and saw Peter Van Houghten. Hazel was very depressed at the passing of her boyfriend, but she survives with the support of her parents.

The End.
